Acceptance and scope.
These terms apply when you use the Quant Interviews Book website, request a free chapter PDF, access linked code or purchase a printed edition. By using the site, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Educational material, not advice.
The book is educational material for quantitative practitioners. It is not investment, legal, tax, accounting or employment advice; it is not an offer, recommendation, solicitation, performance claim or assurance of any result.
Examples, code, datasets, backtests, estimates and model outputs are illustrative. Markets, systems and interviews change. You remain responsible for independent verification, professional advice where appropriate, and every investment, operational, hiring, coding and trading decision.
Free PDFs and email delivery.
The site offers the complete two-volume book without payment as fourteen chapter PDFs. To receive the download page, you provide an email address; a selected chapter is recorded only as your preferred starting point. We may use reasonable anti-abuse and delivery controls. A request may fail, be delayed or be unavailable, and we do not promise uninterrupted delivery.
Requesting the book is not a newsletter subscription. The optional QuantJourney research and updates checkbox is separate. See the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property and licenses.
The book text, book figures and distributed chapter PDFs are made available under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 unless a specific item says otherwise. The public software repository is licensed under the MIT License. Those licenses—not these general terms—set the permissions and conditions for reuse. See the Book & Code License page for the exact boundary and authoritative links.
QuantJourney names, logos, trade dress and product marks are not granted under either license. Third-party material remains subject to its own terms.
Printed edition.
If a printed edition is offered, the product page or checkout will state the price, taxes, shipping, expected fulfilment timing, cancellation and refund information that applies to that order. After a completed payment, we may ask you to confirm the delivery details needed to fulfil the order. Where a specific checkout term conflicts with these general website terms, the checkout term controls for the purchase. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
Accuracy, review status and acceptable use.
The book is a public-review edition and may contain mathematical, code, data, bibliographic or editorial errors. You may report them through GitHub Issues. You must not misuse the site, bypass access or rate controls, interfere with infrastructure, submit unlawful content, impersonate another person or use automated requests in a way that degrades the service.
No warranties.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site, PDFs, code and related material are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability. Nothing here limits a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QuantJourney and the author are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, lost profits, trading loss, loss of data or business interruption arising from use of or reliance on the site or material. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Links, changes and governing terms.
Third-party links are provided for convenience and do not transfer responsibility for those services to us. We may update the site and these terms; the effective date identifies the current version. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, subject to any mandatory law or forum that applies to you.
